Duties:
As an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Conducting regular inspections to ensure compliance with EPA, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Investigating incidents and performing root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
- Developing and implementing occupational health and safety training programs.
- Providing first aid and emergency response training to employees.
- Managing workers' compensation claims and ensuring compliance with relevant laws.
- Writing detailed reports on safety metrics, incidents, and corrective actions taken.
- Fabricating safety equipment or modifying existing equipment to enhance workplace safety.
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following
Experience:
- In-depth knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and other relevant regulations.
- Proficiency in conducting root cause analysis for incident investigations.
- Experience in occupational health practices and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability in developing and delivering effective safety training programs.
- Certification in CPR and first aid.
- Knowledge of workers' compensation laws and procedures.
- Strong report writing skills to document safety procedures, incidents, and corrective actions.
At least three-five years experience as an EHS Specialist.
